Toobin to Address Graduates at 2012 Commencement

Nebraska Law will hold its commencement on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.  The ceremony begins at 3:00 p.m., and doors open at 2:15 p.m.  Jeffrey Toobin, a staff writer for The New Yorker and senior analyst for CNN, will deliver the keynote address.  He is one of the most recognized legal journalists in the country.  His most recent book, The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court, was published by Doubleday and spent more than four months on the New York Times best-seller list and earned the 2008 J. Anthony Lukas Prize for Nonfiction from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism and the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University.  The sequel, The Oath: The Obama White House v. the Supreme Court, will be published in September.  Toobin earned his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review.
