New Library Nutshells

Schmid Law Library recently ordered a number of new nutshells. The most current editions are now shelved in the reference collection (on the shelves facing the circulation desk) and can be checked out for 1 week. We plan to update this collection as new editions/titles become available; if you have suggestions for titles to add, please talk to or email a librarian.

Older editions of nutshells are shelved in the stacks on the first floor of the law library, north side. These may be checked out for 28 days.

Welcome back for the Spring 2012 semester, we hope your Winter break was enjoyable.

The Spring Semester schedule is available here along with classroom numbers.

The Law College calendar has a number of upcoming events scheduled, including a visit by the Nebraska Supreme Court on Thursday, February 9th.

The printer lab is being remodeling into a classroom, all the printers (Library, Westlaw & Lexis) are now located in room 135 of the library (1st floor).

Printers Moving December 13th

The Union Bank Computer Room (south printer lab) will be renovated into a classroom over the holiday break.

All printers will be moved to room 135 (across the hall from the first floor copiers) on Tuesday, December 13; this will be the new printer home. We hope to accomplish the move with little disruption to your printing. If you experience any printing problems during the move, please see any one of the reference librarians and we will make arrangements to have any documents you need printed.

Schmid Law Library wishes you “best of luck” for the Fall semester finals! The library is open extended hours for studying:

Friday, December 2nd, 7:30 am – 12:30 am

Saturday, December 3rd, 8:00 am – 10:00 pm

Sunday, December 4th, 9:00 am – 12:30 am

Friday, December 9th, 7:30 am – 12:30 am

Saturday, December 10th, 8:00 am – 10:00 pm

Sunday, December 11th, 9:00 am – 12:30 am

Library study rooms are filling up quickly; students may use studyrooms for four (4) hours per day. Please check out the studyroom key within 10 minutes of your start time and promptly return the key when done – fellow students will appreciate your timeliness.

Librarians are available from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and over the lunch hour if you need assistance, the tech guys are around for computer help as well.
