Looking Ahead at the Calendar & Thanksgiving Holiday Hours

Thanksgiving Holiday Hours:

Tuesday, November 24; 7:30AM-10PM
Wednesday, November 25; 7:30AM-5PM
Thursday, November 26; CLOSED
Friday, November 27; 9AM-5PM
Saturday, November 28; 9AM-5PM

Looking Ahead:

Laptop Checkout Availability – All Law Students:
Wednesday 12/1/15 is the last day to check out a laptop, they will be reserved for Exam Use only from 12/2/15 through 12/18/15.
Final Exam laptops may only be checked out by talking to Vicki Lill in the Registrar’s Office.

What would you do if your laptop died right now? Or got stolen? Where’s your backup of your data?
Final Exam season brings with it an unusually high number of laptop issues & hard drive failures, take steps to prevent Future You from the agony of losing data, by setting up a backup plan NOW! You can use an external hard drive or cloud software such as Dropbox – and if you don’t have a backup solution of any kind, talk to IT about setting up UNL Box. Net on your computer to keep your class notes, briefs, and review notes safe during this stressful season.

Mac Users – Final Exam Reminder:
Apple OS X Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion users: don’t forget to upgrade to Mavericks or newer before final exams! Older versions of OS X are NOT supported by this year’s Exam4 software application!

Fall Break

Schmid Law Library will be open regular hours this weekend and on Monday, October 19th; we’re here if you need a place to study during Fall break! Reference is available from 8:30am – 4:30pm on Monday. Have a safe and restful break.

Summer Hours and Library Services

Schmid Law Library’s summer hours during the 1st and 2nd Five Week sessions (June 7 – August 15) are:

Sunday, 12:00pm – 10:00pm

Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 10:00pm

Friday, 7:30am – 8:00pm

Saturday, 9:00am – 6:00pm

Schmid Law Library is closed Friday & Saturday, July 3-4 for the Independence Day holiday.

Reference assistance is available Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Final Exams Preparation

Final Exams at Nebraska Law begin on Monday, April 27th. In preparation for the spring semester exams, here’s some last-minute reminders:

Schmid Law Library is open extended hours the next two weekends.

Friday, April 24 & May 1, 7:30AM – 12:30AM

Saturday, April 25 & May 2, 8:00AM – 10:00PM

Sunday, April 26 & May 3, 9:00AM – 12:30AM

Laptop checkout ends on Wednesday, April 22nd. If you need a laptop for a final exam, please contact Vicki Lill.

Welcome to 2015

Happy New Year! The librarians and staff at Schmid Law Library are excited about the upcoming year and look forward to working with you.

The library is open from 7:30AM – 5:00PM Monday-Friday and 9:00AM – 5:00PM on Saturday this week; our normal semester hours start on Sunday, January 11th in anticipation of the Spring semester.
