In Check This Out on March 30, 2015 at 6:56 pm

Schmid Law Library has approximately 136,000 titles; not books, we have more books than that! But sometimes we don’t have THE book necessary for your research project or seminar paper.

No worries; we can Inter-Library Loan (ILL) the book for you. The ILL form is available online, please include all relevant information: contact info, book title, author, deadline etc. Most ILL requests arrive within two weeks and can be renewed if needed.

Schmid Law Library has updated our Inter-Library Loan (ILL) request form – it’s now an easy-to-use online form available in the library’s Quick Links menu. Paper copies are still available at either the circulation desk or reference desks.

Items or article copies can usually be obtained from another library – on average, the process takes about 2 weeks at little or no cost. Schmid Law Library ILL Policies are located here.

Sometimes Schmid Law Library doesn’t have all the material you need, an unfortunate issue that plagues many libraries.  The good new is that your library can get material from other libraries for you – also know as: ILL (Inter-Library Loan).  Even better news for library users, is that the ILL form is available online in the “Quick Links” section of Schmid Law Library’s website.  You can ILL all types of material but double-check your deadline, it typically takes two (2) weeks for book requests but just a few days for article requests.  If you have any questions about ILL or finding material, please contact a friendly librarian.
